Well this is going to be long..

I don't even know where to start so I'll start with the most recent and go backwards ha.. We got a new car! Yay! It's a 2008 Ford Edge.. okay so not brand new, but it's new for me. It also has 40k less miles. It's pretty much the base model with a few 'upgrades' like power windows and locks (um I thought that was standard on every car), I can sync my phone, and I can control the volume and radio station from the steering wheel. It is more a month, but we plan on refinancing it in 6 months to a year because by then a lot of our debt should be paid down or even off.

The breaking point of getting a new car was we were driving home from looking at houses we were interested in buying (and actually got pre-approved for). We turned down the street our apartment complex is on (which is a very busy street) and I'm driving and all of a sudden the car stops accelerating. I push the pedal to the floor and nothing. By now the battery light is flashing at me so I coast into a parking lot. It was definitely not like before when it stopped accelerating because before at least the car would still go. I turn the car off when I get into the parking lot and start to try it again and the engine turns over, but it's like it stalled (when you're in a manual car) and the battery light comes back on. We knew it wasn't the battery because all the lights and radio was working and the engine turned over. I finally get it started and raced home. I felt like the faster I went the less likely it would stall haha!

The next day we used Eric's car and I just took him to work and then went about my day. We were both done with the Passat. That was the last straw. We knew we'd be upside down with the trade in, but it's worth it to have a car that we can rely on. So that day we went to Ford and got the edge! Luckily the Passat made it all the way up to the Ford dealership without dying and through their little test drive. Only thing was the AC decided to go completely out that day. Normally it took about 10 minutes for it to get cold, but between stopping to wash the car and stop at the convenient store and then driving all the way up there it was almost an hour and it still didn't work. That car was a mess. And being a VW it was very expensive to get fixed. Needless to say we now have a Ford Edge :)!

We're also going to visit his family in mid July up in Minnesota for a week and we're driving. Between the price of Bentley's boarding and the price of plane tickets it'd be over $1,000. And well.. that's just not possible for us right now so driving it is. We'll take two days to get there.

Eric is getting deployed shortly after that, but it's not for very long and it's in a decent (well considering) so it won't be too bad.

I'm still working for Bank of America, but still looking for another job, preferably in the hospital since that is what my degree is in.

I think that's it for the most part. I'll try and update more.
