17 Days!!!

I feel like it can't come soon enough. Eric and I will start packing up most of our stuff probably this weekend. Just seeing everything packed up will make it seem like we're really out of here soon, even if that means we have to live out of boxes for 2 weeks.

When I think of this I get all happy inside!! :)

Oops

So Saturday morning I went and got myself some juice and sat down on the bed with my macbook. Next thing I know the juice is all over my computer and the mattress. I instantly freak out. For those who don't know, the computer is my life. I have pictures, files, meal plans, ideas, and the route we were going to be taking to MacDill all on there. I never put anything on paper.. It's all on my computer. So we get showered and dressed quickly and head out to find someone who might be able to repair it. After going to Office Max and them telling us there is only one MacTech store in this whole town that is where we go. Since it's the only place, they aren't exactly cheap. We get a call today and they said the computer is not fixable, but they at least saved my hard drive. Phew. Instead of having them transfer the files (for another outrages fee) we're going to see if the Apple store will do it for cheaper when we head back home.
So now we are down to one computer, which doesn't seem bad, but it's a pain. Hopefully now we can get an iMac! :)

RIP sweet sweet Macbook :(

Hopefully we'll get to adopt this one sometime soon! The new 27" iMac!! :)

30 Days!!!

That is it.. 30 days left here in Wichita Falls! We are beyond excited to get out of here, see family and finally start our lives as a married newlywed couple in FL. We can't wait to get back to Vegas and see everyone and everything. Eric will graduate November 20th and we leave November 21st, spend 10 days in Vegas and then it'll take 5 days to drive to FL. Bentely will definitely have to be drugged up since he gets car sick.

The prettier things of Wichita Falls, TX

Eric and I go out exploring a lot since we're on a pretty tight budget and there isn't a whole lot to do. There is Wichita Falls which is a man made replica of what the town was named after and a ton of really pretty parks.

Our new addition

It's been about 2 months since the last post and so much has happened. We now have a Great Dane, Bentley who is currently 4 months and growing everyday. He is the most stubborn dog I've ever met, but we still love him.

When we first got him..

This past weekend

Eric has some friends over on Friday night. It actually went a lot better than I thought. And we finally went to the pool for the first time.

Saturday night Tops in Blue which is a variety show put on by the Air Force preformed at the MPEC. Eric and I went and we brought one of his classmates with us. It was actually really good and a nice way to spend a Saturday evening and best of all it was F-R-E-E! Sunday was pretty much a lazy day. We primer-ed the brown wall so we could paint it back to it's original color.

Why not to catch the softball with your face!

A couple days after Eric arrived at Sheppard he was out catching fly balls and he decided to try to catch it with his face. LOL, just kidding. The ball got lost in the sun and came and hit Eric right on the nose. Although, he did still manage to catch the ball. I was still back home in Henderson when I get a call from a weird number. All Eric says is "Babe, I'm in the ER" umm.. okay for what? Then he finally goes on to say that he was hit in the nose with the softball and it's broken. Phew, okay I can deal with that! :) We skyped later that night and this is what his nose looked like:

I forgot when he went back to the doctor, but we found out he had to have surgery within a week or two. The swelling went down for the most part and you could only tell it was crooked by really looking at it. I moved down to Wichita Falls on June 12th and later the next week we found out that his surgery was going to be on my Birthday! Bummer! Out of all the days in June they HAD to pick Thursday the 18th?!
After surgery Eric was pretty much on bed rest for a couple days. It looked pretty bad, but surprisingly he didn't have any bruising. On the 3rd day he was finally fed up of sitting at the house so I agreed he could go to Walmart with me. I made him ride around in this:

He was still on a lot of pain medication so it was pretty funny to see him operate it.
It's been a month and a half since the surgery and his nose looks great! Though, he is constantly and picking his nose because it hurts to blow it. It's still very tender, but it's getting better! Thank God for free health care!

We Have Orders!!

To MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. We are REALLY excited! It's definitely a looong way from home! At least it's a nice, big city and family can come and visit. Eric is due to graduate his tech school on Nov 23rd, but I guess they're trying to change it to the 20th. Hopefully that means we would be able to leave sooner. We'll be spending 10 days at home and then have 5 days to drive to FL, but we'll probably make it in 4.

We're hoping to get a nice apartment off base for half the price. The "houses" they are offering Eric's rank on base is definitely NOT worth $1446. I just wish it was sooner than 4 months away!

Our Photo Session

These are just a few of the pictures out of the photo session we had done when I went to visit Eric in San Antonio a few months ago. We never had engagement photos done so this doubled as them. I was really happy with how they turned out!

Getting Started

I'm basically creating this so our family can follow what we do. Since we've both had to move away from just about everyone and phone calls can only explain so much so this will be a good way to keep them updated.
